Alcatel Estimates $10 Million Returns from Tablet PC Market Growth

Chinese cell phone maker Alcatel lately anticipated to accomplish $10 million income from Tablet PC business. The principle objective of this effort is to grab at least 10% of the market share by the end of this fiscal year in the section of tablet PC. 

Apparently, Alcatel has introduced three models of tablet PC. The most recent revealed by this Smartphone giant is "A3 10". By rolling out the tablet PCs, Alcatel is in intention to give head-to-head competition to its rivals and renowned names such as Samsung, Datawind, and Micromax that already have their great devices in the market. 

Study done by CMR states that, the sales and demand of the tablet in India has deteriorated by 16% in every year, which makes up to approximately 7.6 lakhs unit between January to March 2017 quarter. In contrast to previous year's October to December quarter, the reduction of sales is 6%. Same goes for the worldwide market also. The tablet demand rate respective to sale is down by 8.5 percent as the purchasers are more intrigued by the smartphone. 

Datawind is no doubt an achiever in the competition as it holds the top spot with 34% market share. iBall ranks second position with 16% share of the market. 

Samsung managed to accumulate 15% share and Micromax has figured out to get 8% of the market share 

Mr. Praveen Valecha, regional director of Alcatel India affirmed that tablet PC market has contracted, as there were were no significant gadgets in the Indian market that can impact the sales of the tablet pc market. Also the launch of low-cost tabs ruined the customer experience. On the other hand, GST and demonetization had its own effects on the market. However, we anticipate that the market will resuscitate by Diwali. He also stated that organization has planned to roll out two new tablet segments in the Indian market in coming period. 

On the side, growing numbers of internet user, government implementing digital technology to educate and initiate its bodies in the form of different  programs, and high demand for e-learning has boosted the demand for the tablet pc which indirectly the foster the growth of the global tablet pc market.
